How do you feel about play dates? As a mother, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with them. I love them because my kids have something to do and I don’t have to worry about figuring out how to entertain them for a few hours. I hate them because I’m not much into people and I usually don’t care to spend hours socializing with a virtual stranger while our kids play – and dropping them off and leaving is not an option for something like this. On that note, if I had a dog, I think I’d like doggie play dates much better. People who have kids can be quite questionable; people who have dogs and love to set up play dates are probably much better people (dogs can sense these things). Or I could be so totally off base; I don’t know.
Either way, Dog Buddy Match is a new service that allows you to find a friend for your dog so that when you are not home, your dog is not all alone. You can set up play dates for your dog so you can run errands. The system finds you a friend in the area in which you live so that you and your neighbors can take turns getting to know one another’s dogs and making friends with them. It’s a unique and very interesting idea. We’d love to know what you think about it, if you’ve used it and if you might recommend it to other dog owners.
