It was 2012 when one Chicago family noticed that their beloved Chihuahua was missing. The dog was an important part of their family. They spent weeks and months searching for their beloved little dog, but nothing ever came of it. They had no idea what happened to him, how he got away or if someone might have taken him from their home. All that they knew is that their lovely little dog went missing and they missed him. It was a difficult time for the family. They spent weeks hoping that each time the phone rang it was a local vet or shelter saying that they’d found their dog and located his microchip and that he was safe and ready for them to bring him home. Sadly, that call never came. It’s been four years now.
Imagine this family’s shock and surprise when earlier this week they received a phone call from a local shelter stating that they have the dog and that he is fine. A family that was out on Tuesday evening happened to notice the little dog wandering the Chicago streets all by himself, and they alerted the local police. The dog was captured and taken to a local rescue where he was scanned for a microchip. This information was imperative to finding his owners, and they were thrilled and astounded to find that their beloved dog was all right after being missing for four years. They are so happy to have him home with them once again.
