When Chris Sontag-Ratti decided to do something for his beloved dog, he had no idea just how much it would mean to those who he blessed. You see, Chris had a dog that meant everything to him. In fact, the dog meant so much to this man that her name was actually Everything. She was a Boxer-Rottweiler mix, and she was his best friend for so many years. That’s why it was such a heartbreaking moment when the dog died. It was 2013 and the dog was very sick with cancer when she passed. It’s something that put her out of her pain and gave her a chance to be free again, but it was difficult for him to deal with when she left him.
His grief is still going strong even three years after her death, and it’s inspired this man to do something that no other dog owner, to our knowledge, has ever done. He is now sending free tennis balls to those who have a dog of their own and promise that they will use the balls to play with their dogs. What he is doing is giving people who still have time with their canine companions a chance to bond with them and spend some quality time together. It shocked him to see that within 24 hours of posting his offer to Instagram that he had more than 8,000 likes to his post. He had 100 balls to send out, and he was able to send them, and so many more so that others had a chance to love their dogs a bit more.
