Isn’t Laci just the most adorable little thing you’ve ever seen? This beautiful Shih Tzu spent the past 13 years of her life dedicated to her family, a family she thought loved her and cared for her and that she would spend the rest of her life with. Unfortunately, that is not the case for this darling dog. Apparently, her family figured that since they didn’t make any vows to stick with the dog for better or worse or in sickness or health or until death do they part, they could get rid of the dog by claiming that she was too old. Too old for what, is my honest question. Too old for fun? Too old to love them? Too old to cuddle with them or walk with them or love them? What is this dog too old for?
I think that the real problem is that the family is just too silly and too selfish for this dog. Despite Laci’s confusion and her lack of a new family to call her own, she is a strong and resilient dog that will find a loving family of her own. The problem is that she needs to find one now before it’s too late. She is at risk of euthanasia if she does not find a family soon. She’s older, she’s in a shelter in California that is close to capacity, and any day could be her last. She needs a home, and she needs it now. Laci is at the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardenia, California.
