Bomb Sniffing Dog Retires, Gets Full Military Honors

Sometimes, when we think about bomb sniffing dogs we get happy, and sometimes we get sad. We get happy because we know they help save our lives, and the lives of countless other souls. But we get sad because we think that they did not necessarily choose to take that job. But if you see them in action and after, they truly love what they do, and many would say, it is their purpose. Well, this is the story of one bomb sniffing dog and how he retired like the true hero he is.

Eddie worked at the MacDill air-force base in Florida for five years, and when it came time to retire, they knew they had to give Eddie some special honors. He was the best bomb sniffing dog there was, even working some gigs in Afghanistan where it is said that he rumored more lives than you can count on both hands twice. So not only did Eddie retire with an awesome reputation and the love of many, he was also given full military honors to go along with his retirement. They even had an actual ceremony where the awarded the dog a medal and had personal poetry read to him.

Some we think he may have liked the dog treats more than the poem, but either way, Eddie is one heck of a bomb sniffing dog, and a hero who deserves the accolades he got.
