Meet Freya, the gorgeous Staffordshire Bull Terrier that has been called Britain’s loneliest dog for quite some time now. This sweet girl was found and she was taken to a shelter more than six years ago. The shelter has been waiting for someone to come in and either claim the dog as their own or adopt her since then. Dozens upon dozens of other dogs have come and gone in that six years, leaving Freya there every single time. She has no family, no friends, and only the support of the shelter and its staff to call her own. Her life is not all that great, and she is lonely in a way that she wishes she never has to experience again; and her nickname is not one she cares for.
When Freya appeared on a local morning show in Britain to help her find a home since she’s so funny and so sweet and the shelter thought it might help, they had no idea that they’d do something even more amazing. Michael Bay, an amazing film director, saw the dog and knew immediately that he had to give her a role in his new film. It’s a little film called “Transformers,” and then tweeted that he hired her. She has epilepsy and has reportedly been rejected for a new home more than 18,000 times in the course of her little life. The director wants to find her a home during filming. If he cannot, she will come home to live with him and his two bull mastiffs. Either way, her life is changing for the better.
