A woman who was suffering from anorexia had dropped a lot of weight in a short amount of time.  The woman whose name is Sophie Hewlett started losing weight because she was extremely stressed out over her college finals.  She was in the last year of college and really wanted to focus on her studies and neglected eating.  She was trying to live on sugar-free squash which is a soft drink made from fruit juice.  But something was going to change in the woman’s life for the better.

She adopted a Miniature Dachshund puppy and this dog was about to change her life forever.  The puppy who Sophie named Eevee was taken to the Vet because something wasn’t right with the canine.  After the checkup the vet diagnosed pooch with severe dehydration.  The Vet told Sophie that she needed to feed the puppy every 20 minutes in order to bring the dog back to proper health.  It was these regular scheduled feedings that made a light bulb go off in Sophie’s head.  She realized just how bad her eating disorder had gotten and decided to do something about it. She was tired of living this way and wanted change in her life.

Sophie loved taking walks outside with her new pet after the dog had recovered.  She realized that she couldn’t have done it if she herself didn’t eat.  She wanted to be able to give this dog a full life and watch her grow into a beautiful adult dog.  To do so, Sophie was going to need to make a huge life change.  She decided to get some help for her eating disorder and made a plan to get her life back on track.  As Sophie grew so did her beloved dog.  Now they are both healthy and happy.  Sophie has put on a lot of weight but she look and feel much better today.  This amazing story might have never happened if she didn’t adopt the pooch.  The positive power that our pets can give us humans is truly amazing.  For more on this story, please check out the article below.
