Laura Dash is a woman with a super amazing life. You know when you are a child and you dream of being anything that you want to be, and nothing is off-limits at that point? Well, we have to tell you that there are a few things that we think is very cool about that and Laura Dash. For one, kids want to be super heroes and movie stars and they want to save all the animals and be princesses and do amazing things like that. Laura Dash can kind of say she did those things. She spent the first half of her career working as a stunt double in Hollywood in some of the most well-known and most famous movies of our lives (Interview with a Vampire, The Goonies, Jurassic Park…) and that kind of makes her a super hero. Then when she was done with that part of her life, she became an animal rescuer.
At the end of the day, she has the coolest job around, and we simply cannot ignore the fact that she is someone we admire so much. She began to volunteer her time, and then she decided to become a trainer and help the homeless Chihuahua dogs she found so much. Fast forward a dozen years or more and she’s a woman with her own rescue ranch in California as well as a television show on National Geographic called Second Chance Chihuahuas. She’s managed to save more than 2,000 dogs in the past several years, and she is someone we think you should check out if you have not already.
