When Jeremy Zuttah from the Baltimore Ravens asked his wife to marry him, they both knew that their pit bull would be part of their wedding ceremony. Imagine their surprise when they went to their local City Hall to get married in front of the JOP and they were informed the dog could not be there with them to stand beside them as they wed. This was so important to them that they decided to leave right then and there without getting married.
The couple adopted the dog together more than 8 years ago when they were both attending Rutgers University. He has been part of their life for that long, and they weren’t about to leave him out of their big day. The couple and their friends and family decided to very quickly throw together their wedding at a local gym, and it was lovely. They needed to find a location in which they could get married with their dog, and that worked out for them for the best.
Now they are happily married, their dog was a part of their wedding day and they can go back to playing football and working as animal activists. Both Zuttah and his new wife are both huge animal advocates for adoption, spending much of their time asking others to adopt instead of shop so that animals can get the loving homes that they want to have. Now they can go back to doing that as husband and wife, and their dog gets to be part of the rest of their lives, too.
