Firefighters Injured Saving Dog from DC Apartment Fire

It is always a sad day when we have to bring bad news to anyone. The world is already so full of bad news that it just kills us to be the bearer of even more bad news, but that is sometimes how we have to face reality. On Wednesday, there was a bad fire in Washington D.C. at an apartment building, and it was not a happy ending for all involved. The fire was bad enough that it injured three fire fighters who were on the scene to help out with the fire and put it out before more people or structures were hurt or damaged. While battling the fire, someone noticed there was a dog in the apartment and the fire fighters did their best to rescue the dog.

Fortunately, they were successful in removing the dog from the fire. Sadly, they were unable to save the dog from being burned badly. There is no word on whether or not the dog will be able to live a normal life once he is healed or where his owners are. All we know is that the world is fortunate that men and women are willing to put their own lives at risk and end up injured in the process themselves. This dog will live and he will have them to thank. We are wishing that the three injured fire fighters will make a fast and normal recovery and be back to their normal lives as quickly as possible. We should all thank a hero today.
