Many of you have probably heard a lot about the dog in this next story. You see, there is a lot of information out there about the Black Cockapoo.  But today you are going to learn five new things that you may have never known about this very adorable designer dog.  So let’s get started shall we?

  1. The Black Cockapoo are very agile dogs. In fact, they can jump very high and are able to leap over dog gates with ease.  Many owners have found this out the hard way and have had their pets escape from the rooms they place them in. They are also really great at running obstacle courses and many owners of these dogs enter them into competition.
  2. These dogs can live to be very old. In fact, many of these dogs live to be 15 years old and some even older than that.  There longevity is related to both their size and the fact that they are a crossbred animal.  This is great for those looking to have a loving pet be part of the family for many years to come.
  3. These dogs were among the first to be actively bread as a designer dog. They helped blaze the trail for other designer dogs to come.  These cute mid-sized dogs are the reason why there are so many different mixed breed dogs today! Now there are hundreds of different mixes that are being actively bred.
  4. They almost never shed. This was one of the main reasons these dogs where originally produced.  Now people all over the world seek out these dogs for this quality.  Many people who are allergic to dogs could actually own one of these designer dogs, without any medical issues.
  5. They are not known barkers. Some dogs really love to bark, but this designer dog loves to remain quite.  This makes them the perfect dog to have if you live in an apartment or have neighbors who simply don’t like dogs around.  They can also be left alone during the day, without the worry of them causing a problem with excessive barking.
