Is The German Shepherd Rottweiler Mix Even Dangerous At All?

Many people believe that the German Shepherd Rottweiler Mix is a dangerous animal that is prone to attacking people for no reason.  Many argue that since these dogs come from two different dominating animals that their offspring will get a double dose of aggression.  But if you have ever been around one of these animals that have been properly trained, you will know that this simply is not the case.  So why are some people so scared of these animals?  Simply because they lack proper information. While there are some bad apples in the bunch, this is the case of all dog breeds, and people should not judge an animal before they know more about them.

How Can You Prevent The German Shepherd Rottweiler Mix From Becoming Aggressive?

Like all dogs, this mix breed needs to be properly trained in order for it to behave properly.  You wouldn’t let your child run wild with no rules, so why let your dog?  By establishing dominance over your dog you are identifying yourself as the pack leader.  This should be done at a very young age in order for your companion to follow the leader.  By letting your puppy know the rules at a young age, you are laying the foundation for a well behaved adult animal.

You Should Always Start With Basic Training Whenever Your Puppy Is Old Enough

Basic training is a great way to get your puppy ready for the rest of its life.  If you know enough about animal training and you have done your homework this can be conducted at home.  But if you have never worked with a dog before you might want to get some professional help.  There are many training centers around the country that offer basic training for a very reasonable fee.  Many of the big box pet stores now even offer this service.

While in basic training your pet will learn several core commands such as sit, stay and come.  They will also learn how to be social without being aggressive.  Having your dog around other people and other animals is the only way they are going to learn how to act.  One reason that some dogs become aggressive is the fact that they were never properly socialized.      If you follow these basic tips and get your dog the proper training at a young age you will have a happy and healthy dog for life.
