Little Girl of 5 Plays with 14 German Shepherds

When I mentioned to someone the other day that my husband and I are thinking of getting a German Shepherd to raise with our kids, they scoffed. Apparently, that’s the worst idea I’ve ever had; to get a dog that’s intelligent, gentle and kind with kids, and one with ample patience. The reasoning behind this scoffing was that this person feels that large animals like a ‘police dog’ are aggressive, mean and unsafe to have around children. No amount of persuasion or even simple facts would change this person’s mind. So, I’ll get my mother-of-the-year nomination revoked when it comes time to finally get a dog in our household. When I saw this video, I thought that it was quite perfect. It shows fourteen of these giant, unfriendly beasts and a five-year-old little girl.

They’re playing. They’re having the most fun, the best time. They are enjoying every second of the time that they have with this little girl in a field, and she loves every second of it, as well. These dogs are friendly and they are very gentle with the little girl. It’s a wonderful video of a little girl with dogs that love her and are kind to her, and it shows how dogs feel innately toward children who are also gentle and kind in return. Dogs are smart animals, especially German Shepherds. If you don’t believe that, take a look at this amazing video of a little girl with no fear at all of these dogs in this field.
