Muttbombing is the New Instagram Craze That Helps Shelter Dogs

All of you clearly know what photobombing is.  But how about muttbombing?  If you’re gonna take a selfie then you might as well get your dog involved, post the picture on Instagram, and do it all for a good cause! “Muttbombing” is a new Instagram craze, started by Dallas Pets Alive (DPA). Its goal is to make Dallas a no-kill city while finding homes for healthy rescue dogs, according to its Facebook page.

It works like this: DPA searches Instagram for selfies and Photoshops a mutt who’s up for adoption into the picture. They also provide information about how to help the shelter animal. The result is hilarious, of course, but it also gets the message out that an adorable pup is in need of a forever home.

So if you’ve got yourself a dog that’s up for adoption it’s time to get creative.  It’s time to get out the cameras.  And it’s time to start muttbombing.  We sincerely hope that you’ll participate in this cause and spread the word about it.  Every dog that’s up for adoption and gets a new home is another dog that survives and has a chance at having a happy life.   Get off your chair (or stay on it) and start snapping away!

If you visit DPA’s Instagram page (@dallaspetsalive), you can see a slew of wonderful muttbombs.  Below you’ll find some great pics.
