Officer Handles Aggressive Dogs in the Most Amazing Manner

police and dog

Unfortunately, we hear a lot of news these days about officers who kill dogs that they feel are aggressive rather than doing anything else first. Sometimes the public is provided with video footage that shows dogs are not even aggressive in the least, but scared police, scared maintenance workers and other scared people tend to jump to conclusions and shoot dogs that they are forced to encounter out of sheer fear, ignorance and sometimes just because they are awful people. Don’t get me wrong; there are plenty of instances in which aggressive animals are shot and it’s for the best of everyone involved. I’m merely saying that this is not always the case.

Here we have a video taken from the body camera of an officer who was responding to a call about two very aggressive dogs that were roaming the neighborhood, separated from their family. As you can see in the video, the dogs are highly aggressive and one even bites the police officers. The officer, however, does not reach for his gun or shoot the animals in protest. In fact, he begins to talk to them and handle them in a calm manner with ease. He’s learned to handled aggressive dogs through training and he knows what he is doing. He is able to talk the dogs down and actually get them home to their owner – who did receive a citation in case you are interested – and go about his day without taking any lives. Now that is impressive. Take a look.
