A Paralyzed Doberman Learns to Walk Again

Our furry four-legged friends can be so awe-inspiring, and they don’t even know it. While they In April of 2013, the good people at Two Hands Four Paws rescued a badly injured Doberman named Kenny. Kenny was paralyzed due to a severely damaged spine and the canine was believed to never be able to walk again. Experts even believed that the poor pup should be euthanized. Thanks to the strong faith and belief Two Hands Four Paws had in Kenny as well as their refusal to give up on trying to help him, something incredible and amazing happened six months later. The inspiring Doberman defies all the odds and ends up learning to walk again – he’s even seen at the beginning of the video running! Yes, that’s right: the dog they said would never be able to walk again in its life cannot only walk on its own, it can probably outrun most anyone that tries to race him!

In the video below, you can see Kenny’s incredible transformation from paralyzed pup to a fully running dog. The video shows footage of the day that the group got the paralyzed Doberman – he was in such bad shape that he had to be wheeled off and even carried in order to move from one place to the next. The dog simply couldn’t move at all. The footage also shows Kenny’s┬áprogression as he went through rehabilitation and various therapy sessions. It’s no secret that this was quite the journey for the dog and that it wasn’t easy at all. It just goes to show that with a bit of faith and belief as well as a ton of perseverance, anything is possible. Just because some people lack faith and belief that you can change things, doesn’t mean that it isn’t possible – it always is! As the end of the video says: “When you have hope, the possibilities are endless.”
