Saving Two Homeless Dogs Hiding in a Junkyard

While many dogs all over the world have been lucky to find and be with loving forever homes, that isn’t always the case with every dog. Unfortunately, some dogs either get abandoned by their owners for a number of various reasons or they end up running away from their homes because they are unhappy there or because they just got lost… indefinitely. Many of these dogs who end up on the street for whatever reason end up in dangerous situations. The streets are no place for a dog to live, and eventually they will either get killed (by oncoming cars, other animals) or will starve to death to limited resources of food. There are so many dangers out there for our furry canine friends that we can only imagine how scary it is to be alone with no home to go to. A lot of these dogs don’t end up getting rescued in time, which is why rescue groups are amazing organizations that really help take care of those displaced dogs. One such organization is the group Hope for Paws, an animal rescue organization based in Los Angeles, California. Their most recent rescue is now a viral dog video featuring two homeless dogs who were found and rescued hiding in a junkyard.

In the video below, we see the kind folks from Hope For Paws as they go on a mission to save the two Maltese puppies that were found hiding in a junkyard. The duo strategized and began by attempting to lure over the female (sister) dog in order to also get the attention of the male (brother) dog. It took a few attempts to get the female dog to come their way, but they were eventually able to get the frightened canine over to them safely. After successfully grabbing the female, the male dog was an easier feat – he came right on over to his sister, making sure she was okay. They ended up grabbing the male dog as well and were off to the safety of the veterinarian, where the two were cleaned up as their fur was covered in motor oil. On the way over to the animal hospital, the rescuers named the two Elmer and Elsie. Elmer and Elsie are currently looking for a forever home.
