Puppy mills make us so mad. While we will save our full feelings on that subject for its own article, I am sure you all feel the same way we do about them. So when we hear about puppies getting saved from puppy mills, it restores our faith in humanity. But there is one story and one dog from that story who really stood out to us, so we wanted to write her up. Stella the dog is the best example we have ever seen of dogs being loving, no matter their circumstances, and it reminds us why we love dogs so much.
From the minute the freed Stella the dog from the puppy mill she was being kept in (with tons of other dogs as well) in N.C, she gave off a loving energy that few had ever seen a dog in her situation give off before. She was dirty, and flea bitten, and under nourished, yet she emoted nothing but love and adoration from the minute she was freed. As if she knew that her life was saved, ultimately. This was a dog that had next to no hope, yet despite that, seemed about as happy as any dog could be.
The happy ending is the fact that Stella the dog got a great forever home and is loved and adored on a daily basis. But what stands out is that, despite the situation the dog was in, she was happy and thankful, and that anyone can look at that as inspiration at tough times in their own lives. Things may be dark at times, but look to Stella and realize, stay positive and things can turn around at any point. Never lose hope. That is what Stella the dog represents to us.
