Surfing Therapy Dog Gives Dying Sisters The Gift Of A Lifetime

Ricochet is a dog that loves to surf. She also happens to be a therapy dog trained to take kids with medical issues out on a surfboard so that they can enjoy the kind of freedom that only comes from being in the water. Ricochet has to love what she does, because it’s the most fun job in the world. She takes kids have a special kind of health issue, one that prevents them from being able to function in the same way that others function, and she gives them an experience than most people who have no muscle control, no ability to walk and no ability to do for themselves are unable to do.

Her job is amazing, and it’s proof here in this video as we watch Ricochet take these two girls on an adventure they would otherwise never get to experience. Her ability to make kids feel free, to experience something that they might never be able to experience otherwise, is a dream come true to these kids. It’s something we should all hope to do; bring a smile to a child’s face simply because we did what we love to do best. Those are the people and animals that matter most.
