Wait Until You See What This Man Did For This Dog

Stupid Pet Tricks Audition in Vermont

You know we love to talk about dog rescues on this site. We think that, of all the dog stories you can tell, dog rescues are the best because they always have a happy ending. We know dog lovers like us just love happy endings. Of course, sometimes it is hard to initially get to that ending, because the beginnings can be so sad. In this case, a man saw an injured dog an a Houston highway and did what I think any of us would do. His name is Rickey Young, and he reacted with heart and emotion, and because of that, saved an injured dog. Seriously, wait until you see what this mean did for this dog!

So Ricky was driving to work down the highway when he saw the golden retriever hurt in the road. It looked hurt badly, and being a dog lover, Young was just not okay with passing that by. So he pulled over and approached the dog. At first, the dog was very scared and did not trust him (as they do to protect themselves when they are hurt) but the quick thinking man ran to his truck and retrieved a sandwich he had planned on having for lunch. He offered it to the dog, and dog took his offering. Once the dog was eating, he VERY CAREFULLY scooped the dog up and got it to his car. He quickly drove it to the nearest animal hospital and, wouldn’t you know, he saved the dog’s life.

The doctors caring for the dog said that the dog has broken bones and internal bleeding and would have died for certain had Ryan Young not stopped and risked himself to save the dog. You know, if all people thought and acted like Ryan Young did that day, this world would be a far better place.
