Silly question; did anyone watch the Super Bowl Sunday evening? I know we did, and we were pretty impressed with Lady Gaga’s rendition of the National Anthem. She might not have the same voice or exceptional talent as someone like Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey, but she made it her own and she catered the song to her personal style, range and her abilities and she rocked it. I was saddened to see on social media how many people crucified her from the second she finished, as if they could get up there and sing a song that important, that meaningful – that difficult – with perfection and grace.
Of course, no one would blame them if they said no to that; it’s probably the most difficult song in the world to sing because you will be hung out to dry if you are not absolutely perfect. It’s the National Anthem, for goodness sakes. That’s why these dogs, talented as they are, were not invited by the NFL to rock the stage with their sheer talent and amazing abilities this weekend. Honestly, they’re pretty talented. They’ve got some choir-esque talent going on there, and we are pretty impressed. I’m sure the world, with their negativity and their quick-to-judge manner, would find something to critique in their performance. However, they’re far better than I, so I’m not judging anyone. Far be it for me to tell these dogs they’re not perfect when I know I could not sit down and do the same. Take a look at the video and be amazed by their talent.
