Dog Whistler
This is a great app for anyone in the training process. It’s designed so that you can create high-frequency sounds, beeps and whistles that will grab the attention of your dog at a moment’s notice. You can use it during the training process as well as after training is done once your dog knows what each beep, sound or noise means. It’s a great way to ensure that your dog comes when called, but it can also be used to train dogs in many other methods as well.

So, about five minutes, right?

Perfect for the avid explorer (read: Dog that likes to wander and get lost), this app is more necessary for some dogs than fun. It comes with a box that attaches to the collar of your dog so that anytime your dog is missing, you can just check your GPS app to see where the dog is located. What you can do is look up nearby parks no matter where you are so that you can enjoy some fun in the sun with your dog, and keep him or her entertained and out of doggie trouble.

All right, so this is completely useless and not at all accurate. But it is a lot of fun, and you’re going to have a good time with it. You don’t know what your dog is trying to say to you, so you can use this app to translate his barks and see what he’s trying to tell you. It’s probably not accurate, but it’s definitely hilarious.
Finding Rover
Few things in life are as sad as seeing someone lose their animal love and wonder if the animal that someone called them about is actually their own. It’s true that many dogs look so much alike that it’s difficult to tell if the animal located is your own. This app allows you to scan the face of your dog and it saves it. If anything ever happens to your dog and you’re not sure if the dog you find is your own, you can scan the dog’s face a second time and the app uses facial recognition software to let you know whether or not this is, in fact, your dog.
