19. Cane Corso

The Cane Corso is a large breed of dog that hails from the Italian Mastiff lineage. The Cane Corso was originally bred to be wild boar hunters. Today, that is not their main purpose, but they are still a much more athletic dog than the other Mastiff breeds and much more active, as well. This is a fiercely loyal dog who loves his family and can quietly literally, live for them. Although he does require his share of exercise, almost more, he requires the love and attention of his family. This isn’t a breed to be left alone a lot, or he can become quite destructive. It is also essential they get proper socialization in order to help form the correct temperament so that they develop into well-behaved adult dogs. These are popular dogs among people who want a good guard dog and protection and those who live on a lot of property, those who hunt, among other types of dog owners.
