The 20 Most Owned Dog Breeds of 2017

15. French Bulldog

Short stocky, this is a very sturdy little dog that has a squared-off head with a round forehead, bowed legs with upright ears. People love the French Bulldog for its lively personality and love of being the cut-up of the family. They are somewhat active; they love to play and get out for walks, but they also love to be calm and relax with you. This is not a breed of dog who tolerates being ignored. They thrive on your love and attention, however, they will try to be the alpha personality over the owner if the owner is not authoritative and makes it known they are the pack leader. You must be assertive in a calm, controlled way to keep the Frenchie in line and in control. This is a very popular breed of dog among families since they do, do well with children and other animals, if the child is good with the dog.
