5 Reasons We Love The French Bulldog Rescue Network

The French Bulldog Rescue Network (http://www.frenchbulldogrescuenetwork.org) is a non-profit group founded in August 2001. Based in Glen Allen, Virginia, the network has grown and will help find rescued French Bulldogs a forever home. The goal of the organization is to rescue French Bulldogs that are homeless, abandoned or rescued and ill-treated. Often dogs are bred and sold from commercial breeding kennels, import brokers, public shelters, private rescue groups, and other unhealthy situations. All profits raised by FBRN go to the veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and training of the dogs. All workers at the FBRN are volunteers.

French Bulldogs are a cute and small breed of dog. They developed by crossbreeding in the 1800s and are sometimes known as “Frenchies”. The breed’s ancestor is the English Bulldog. In 1906, the breed was recognized by the American Kennel Club. During the twentieth century, the French Bulldog was a popular pet for high society. The dogs have a very social temperament and love to be with people.

During the past 2 decades, French Bulldogs have become popular. However, they are often sold through commercial breeders and “puppy mills”. Often, those who adopt them are ill-equipped to manage a pet. Many French Bulldogs are simply abandoned. Thanks to the FBRN, these dogs are being rescued, medically treated, cared for and trained

FBRN rescues French Bulldogs

We love that the French Bulldog Rescue Network rescues and rehabilitate dogs in need. The network’s mission is to save these adorable dogs and give them the life they deserve. So many dogs are abandoned because they cannot be properly cared for. Purebred dogs are often bred for profit with no care given to who adopts the dogs. The French Bulldog is unique and lovely. These sweet little dogs crave the attention of their owners and need attention and good care. The FBRN’s mission is to find the unwanted French Bulldogs or those that just cannot be properly cared for and place them with loving owners so that these dogs can live a happy life in the forever home meant for them.

All profits go to veterinary care

The FBRN uses all profits for veterinary care. Often rescued dogs require medical attention. The money raised by the organization goes directly to the veterinary care of each rescued dog. Vaccinations are updated, medical care is seen to, and the dogs are spayed and neutered if necessary.

Volunteers rehabilitate and train the dogs

All people who work for FBRN volunteer their time and expertise to rehabilitate the rescued French Bulldogs. No matter what condition these dogs are found in, they will be taken well care of. Each rescued French Bulldog will receive the best rehabilitative care to help it adjust to its new and healthier lifestyle. Each dog is trained, so that adoptive humans will easily be able to incorporate their dog into their daily life with ease.

The products are adorable

To raise money for the care and rehabilitation of the rescued French Bulldog, the FDRN sells products which depict these adorable dogs. The products are sold through Zazzle. These products make great accessories or gifts for the French Bulldog lover. The products include t-shirts and hoodies, jackets, and baby t-shirts, onesies and pacifiers. Aprons, coffee mugs, travel mugs and water bottles are included as well as watches, coasters, keychains, kitchen towels, throw pillows, cards, labels, and stickers. Cases for iPhones, iPads, Macbooks, mousepads, and much more.

French Bulldogs are adorable

We love the FBRN because they are saving these wonderful dogs, rehabilitating them, and finding them the best homes. The French Bulldog is a sweet and popular breed. This breed was popular in the past but, in recent years, became a trend. As with most trends, people get excited but the excitement eventually fades. These cute little dogs are easy to care for. They do not require much exercise, so they can be owned by apartment dwellers. They are generally a calm breed, fun loving, and cute. The French Bulldog is a companion dog, so they need the love and attention of a caring human.
