Many people confuse the Boston Terrier and the French Bulldog. While the two dogs have a similar appearance, they couldn’t be more different. Maintenance
Both the Boston Terrier and the French Bulldog require very little maintenance when it comes to his grooming needs. Since their needs are not very demanding, they are a great dog for you if you don’t want to spend the time and money on regular visits to the groomer. Also, both dogs will shed minimally. It is so minimal that both of these breeds are great if you don’t want to worry about vacuuming your home and your car often.

When it comes to the possibility of the dogs putting on too much weight, the Boston Terrier has a moderate chance, while there is a very good chance that the French Bulldog would. This means keeping him on a very strict diet. Occasionally, both dogs can suffer from deafness and distichiasis, and the French Bulldog often develops cataracts. Neither dog is prone to excessive drooling and neither dog is hypoallergenic.
Characteristics
Each dog has characteristics that differ than the other. The Boston Terrier is affectionate, aggressive, gentle, friendly, intelligent, and lively. The French Bulldog is also affectionate, and he is also cheerful, playful, loyal, social, and quiet.
