Dog Gets Abandoned on Rural Road: Culprits Didn’t Realize a Camera was Watching
The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is currently engaged in efforts to identify the owner of an abandoned dog. In a Facebook post on Monday, the Sheriff’s office revealed that the dog had been left near the boundary between Bryan County and Effingham County.
The dog’s distressing condition was evident, as its ribs were visibly protruding and it had patches of fur missing. Seeking assistance from the public, investigators released trail camera images showing a black Jeep SUV, which they are keen to locate. It is suspected that the individuals traveling in the SUV are responsible for abandoning the dog.
This distressing incident has evoked strong reactions on Facebook, with numerous individuals expressing their disgust, sadness, and disbelief at such an act of cruelty.
