Arkansas

These limitations are aimed at minimizing potential safety and public health concerns. However, city licenses for kennels allow more number of dogs for commercial purposes.

California

In California, the number of dogs allowed per household varies in different municipal jurisdictions. Generally, only four dogs above the age of 4 months are allowed in one home. A kennel license can be obtained from the Community Development Department, which removes the cap on this number.
