Pit Bull Escapes Miserable Life: Man Holds Her And Says To Wife, “This Is My Puppy”
A lone pit bull was discovered by a woman sitting beside a railway track, drenched and caked in mud. The animal was outfitted with a collar resembling a choke collar and a chain fastened around its neck. Upon approaching the dog, it promptly fled.
Despite this, the woman persisted in her efforts to approach and help the dog, which appeared to have been neglected or abandoned, exhibiting clear signs of starvation and cold, having waited outside for an extended period. Ultimately, the woman contacted her associates for assistance in rescuing the dog, which remained unwilling to come near her.
The woman’s determination to liberate the distressed dog was evident as she persisted in her efforts. Despite the animal’s highly agitated state, it was finally subdued by a seasoned rescuer who spent approximately four hours in the process of calmly and carefully securing a leash around the dog.
Given the extreme anxiety and chaos of the situation, the rescuer found herself unable to extricate herself from the situation, and thus resorted to laying still in order to maintain a sense of calm and prevent further escalation of the animal’s distress.
The dog was in a state of severe trauma, and in order to avoid provoking a potentially hostile response, the rescuer opted to sit quietly with the animal, with the aim of calming it down prior to making any physical contact.
The Pit Bull gradually recognized that these individuals meant no harm, and eventually relaxed its body. The rescuers decided to give the dog the name “Pittie Cardi” – a nod to the popular artist Cardi B.
Following her rescue, Cardi gradually became more trusting of humans, allowing a compassionate man to hold her. The realization that her life was about to change dawned on her, marking a significant turning point.
Upon meeting her foster parents, Cardi was understandably apprehensive, prompting her foster father to spend the night sleeping on the floor with her. He recognized her fear and discomfort, and remained by her side for an extended period of six hours. By the following morning, he had made up his mind, telling his wife, “This is my puppy.”
