Abused Pit Bull in Viral Video Now has a New Home
We are pleased to report that Maximus, a pit bull puppy who was the victim of abuse in a viral video, has found a permanent and loving home. The adoption of Maximus was made official on Tuesday at the Yonkers Animal Shelter.
Due to the severity of his situation, he underwent several protocols to ensure his health and well-being. After clearing these protocols, Maximus was deemed available for adoption.
According to a recent post on the official City of Yonkers Facebook page, Maximus was available for adoption for $80. The post noted that while Maximus is friendly towards people, it was not recommended that he be placed in a home with other animals.
Potential adopters needed to take this into consideration when deciding if Maximus would be a good fit for their home and lifestyle.
Mr. Vetrano reports that Maximus is flourishing in his new surroundings, which include a luxury apartment with a dog park and a private patio. He also notes that Maximus is the sole pet in the household and will be the head of the household.
Although Maximus has found a permanent and loving home, there are still many other animals in need of adoption.
Currently, there are 35 dogs and 75 cats awaiting their forever homes at the Yonkers Animal Shelter. We encourage anyone who is interested in adopting a pet to visit the shelter and consider giving a deserving animal a second chance at happiness.
