Like most people, celebrities have their preferences when it comes to dog breeds. While some celebs favor robust dogs that can share their outdoor lifestyle, others prefer small, cute pups. One breed that is a favorite of multiple people in the limelight is pit bulls. Here are 10 celebrities who own pit bulls.

10. Danny Shelton

Some sports stars are so passionate about pit bulls that they support charitable causes devoted to the breed. One example is NFL star Danny Shelton who is a representative of the ‘Stand Up for Pits Foundation .’ He and his family chose to support the charity for the annual ‘My Cause My Cleats’ game in 2019 because they believe that the ‘Stand Up for Pits Foundation’ is an excellent advocate for the breed. It is also a subject close to his heart as he is the owner of a pit bull called Mona, and he wants to eliminate the negative stereotype that surrounds the breed. Shelton has described his dog as a fantastic big sister for his son and an excellent role model for his other dogs.

Like many celebrity owners of the breed, she has had to defend pit bulls in the past. She was once denied entry to a building with her pet just because he was a pit bull.
