A male pit bull with a baby blue coat was discovered in a park located in Detroit subsequent to an individual’s attempt to perform a home-based neuter procedure. Regrettably, the intervention proved unsuccessful, leading to the abandonment of the hapless canine.
Detroit Dog Rescue, an animal welfare organization, came to the rescue of the injured puppy, providing prompt medical attention.
The young animal was experiencing severe discomfort and bore a gaping wound in his abdomen, with his reproductive organs protruding.
To compound the situation, veterinary professionals posited that the animal may have suffered abuse and been flung from a vehicle prior to discovery.

After a period of five weeks, the young pit bull, subsequently christened Chandler, demonstrated remarkable progress under the care of Oakland Veterinary staff, who provided treatment for his injuries.
Following this, Chandler received further medical attention through their referral services and was eventually placed with a permanent adoptive family.

Chandler, who has since reached three months of age, has been entrusted to the care of a couple in Hazel Park, who are actively engaged in volunteer work with Detroit Dog Rescue.
The duo demonstrated a strong affinity for the young pup and were deemed an ideal match. Chandler is slated to enjoy the company of a new canine sibling, which is sure to provide him with much-needed playtime and companionship.
