1.8 lb Pit Bull Puppy Makes a Miraculous Transformation

There are rescue stories and there are rescue stories that truly warm the heart and soul.  This particular story really hit us in the feels.  Not only because it involved a Pit Bull (because we love Pit Bulls) but because it’s incredibly inspirational.

This tiny guy was merely 1.8 lbs when he was first rescued.  He looked hopeless.  His eyes would barely even open.  Thankfully he was taken in and the process of recovery could begin.

Find out more about the journey below:

Two people found the Pit Bull.  The pup was taken to the Dallas Dog Rescue to begin treatment.  At first he was in horrible condition.

The pup was rushed to the vet because his life was in danger.  There was a considerable risk that he wouldn’t make it.

He was only 1.8 pounds when realistically he should have weighed 4-6 lbs at the time.

The pup was so emaciated that the shelter originally classified him as a Chihuahua.

The first 24-48 hours was described as a “touch and go” situation. Stuart was out of it and pretty unconscious for a fair amount of the time.

Stuart spent five days at the vet.  Over that course of time he was able to stand up.  Then he went to a woman named Susan’s house who would foster him.

When Susan first got him, he was “sleeping a lot.”

It was highly evident that he was recovering from trauma.  But four or five days later he really started acting like a puppy.  He began playing with the other dogs.  Fast forward 2 years…..

Look at him now!  Happy as a clam.

Getting plenty of rest.

Being nice and lazy when he needs to.

And always eager to go for a ride!

Thanks to Pittie Nation for the story!
