Jon Bernthal Nearly Went to Prison For Life Protecting his Pit Bull
Jon Bernthal is utilizing his platform to advocate for pit bulls and raise awareness about their positive qualities. He is an animal rights activist who frequently utilizes social media and public service announcements to showcase the loving nature of pit bulls.
Bernthal adopted a rescued pit bull in 2017, whom he named Lil Bam Bam, and has since become an advocate for the breed. He has also partnered with The Humane Society of the United States and the non-profit Animal Farm Foundation in their efforts to promote positive images of pit bulls and to combat animal cruelty.
Bernthal has always been vocal about his personal feelings about pit bulls, his father is the chairman of the board of the HSUS. Bernthal has 3 pitbulls, Lil Bam Bam, Boss and Venice, that he shares many photos of in social media.

Bernthal will even get into trouble for his pit bulls.
In 2009 he was put in hand cuffs on Venice Beach.
After he knocked a man out cold for grabbing his dog. Bernthal could have went to jail for the rest of his life for the incident but the man survived and Bernthal didn’t receive punishment.
He won’t let anyone get between him and his pit.
